Java's bindings are written in C to support JNI and Linux. This C part should be easily portable to other platforms.

JSDL  needs Java and SDL.  Support for extensions like fonts and Mpeg streams may vary.
TESTERS NEEDED : Please help JSDL by testing it in your environement.  Java and SDL are the only hard requirements and have both been ported to most environments.  Thanks!!

A DLL for windows have been made and ran very well on Win98 and Win2000, but we won't support this platform for the moment. Anybody is free to compile source code found in CVS! :)

* "lite" environment support means JSDL applications will also run in a non-windowed console environment.  (Similar to SVGAlib games or directFB applications such as Microwindows.) The "Lite" option is of note to those developing kiosk and set-top box applications, or developing console games.
